Oil prices dropped, energy stocks lagged, and while midstream held up better, the group overall was down. Growth stocks pushed the S&P 500 higher, and trade tensions seemed to die down. Midstream earnings were mixed on the week, with a few key misses among NGL players and stability among natural gas names that keeps the focus on bearish outcomes of lower oil prices on expectations of slowdown in liquids-rich drilling and more global supply.
